I Experienced Maas Destruction

Okay, I'm going to be honest with y'all. At first, I was totally against reading SJM because her books have always been advertised as "spicy." Other than two books, there really isn't a whole lot of it.

I don't know what Sarah J. Maas puts in her books, but drugs are definitely involved. I seriously cannot get enough of her writing. Quite frankly, I would read her grocery lists. Like, I am OBSESSED.

In December of 2022, I started my SJM journey. Boy do I wish I could go back in time and prepare myself for what I had in store. Now, I'm not coining the phrase "Maas destruction" because someone already beat me to it. Either that or I went through serious Maasochism. There's SO. MUCH. PAIN.

After finishing A Court of Thorns and Roses, the first book in her ACOTAR (A Court of Thorns and Roses) series, I jumped into A Court of Mist and Fury, book two in the series, after stupidly putting myself on a book buying ban. It was a rough time.

And it all went downhill from there. ACOTAR, TOG (Throne of Glass), and CC (Crescent City) seriously rewired my brain chemistry. I'm addicted. Like I previously said, her books have drugs.

Let me just give you an example of how my past few months have gone, reading wise. And, please, don't judge me for March. I was DETERMINED, okay?

Here is my reading order over the past six months. Yes, I dedicated HALF A YEAR to miss SJM. And I'm not even upset. I regret NOTHING.

As you can tell, I've been a little busy. I'm now also caught up on all of the SJM world and I don't know what to do. Especially since the next book, Crescent City: House of Flame and Shadows won't be published until the end of January.

With that being said, House of Sky and Breath completely DESTROYED me. If you've read it, you know. If you're about to or currently reading it, you'll soon know. If you aren't sure if you should...you should. It will destroy you, but you should still read it.

I can't even explain to you in words how broken I am feeling. So, to help explain, I'll be using gifs so, here you go. If you know, you know. You know?

Guys, I'm going through a lot. Pray for me, okay? Please and thank you.

Lastly, I created a playlist that might help you feel my pain. So, here we go.

And just a little entertainment:

Peak entertainment 😂
